Three More Daredevil/Jessica Jones Characters Confirmed for Defenders
Marvel's The Defenders is finally in production, which means we're getting a barrage of casting news. In addition to the main characters from all of the Marvel/Netflix shows, and the three side characters confirmed yesterday, we now have confirmation of three more supporting characters: Claire Temple, Trish Walker, and Stick.

Claire Temple is no surprise, considering that Marvel is clearly setting her up as the common thread between all of the Netflix shows (not to mention a romantic rival to Jessica Jones and, hopefully, a superhero in her own right). And Trish also makes sense, since she's the only character who really humanizes and grounds Jessica, and the Trish/Jessica relationship is easily Marvel's best depiction of female friendship. I could personally do without Stick and all of the mystical ninja baggage he brings with him, but now that Iron Fist is in the picture, we probably can't avoid that.

Rosario Dawson (Claire), Rachael Taylor (Trish), and Scott Glenn (Stick) join an already-sprawling cast that includes Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Finn Jones (Iron Fist), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Simmone Missick (Misty Knight), Elden Henson (Foggy), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm), and probably Jon Bernthal as Punisher, although that remains unconfirmed. We're fascinated to see how all of these heroes interact, especially after Jessica Jones and Misty Knight's contentious meeting in the first set photos.

Marvel's The Defenders starts streaming on Netflix sometime in 2017.
