Wally West Could Become a Supervillain, Says 'Flash' Actress
Once you become a superhero, it's hard to go back to living a normal life (that option doesn't turn out so well for Vigilante, aka Adrian Chase). For Wally West on The Flash, it's even worse: he has to watch his normal friends develop powers while he dreams of his alternate, Flashpoint self, Kid Flash. Wally's clearly desperate to become a superhero himself—standing in front of an oncoming truck proved that—but that desperation could lead him down a dark path, says Danielle Panabaker. In an interview with EW, Panabaker, who plays the nascent metahuman Caitlin Snow (aka Killer Frost), the question came up whether Team Flash might be nervous about Wally becoming so desperate for powers that he becomes a supervillain (possibly through a dark deal with Doctor Alchemy):

Opening quote
"Absolutely...There are so many questions about Doctor Alchemy and his intentions, and how he's going about turning people evil. As much as we've seen, all Doctor Alchemy does is turn people bad. He's not out there like Santa Claus giving people wonderful, delightful gifts. I do think it is a concern, and you will see that very soon, the team's fear of Doctor Alchemy, his power and influence on others."
Closing quote

It'll be interesting to see what Wally does if Alchemy ever directly offers him power—we're all familiar with the idea of a Faustian bargain, and though Doctor Alchemy's motives are unclear, it is clear that he'll do anything to get at Barry Allen's Flash. Panabaker's character, Caitlin, is already a bit frightened of her new powers, but maybe there's hope that she could level with Wally:

Opening quote
As Caitlin's new powers really manifest, will she therefore find some common ground with Wally?

"As far as we know, Wally doesn't have powers in this version of the timeline yet," Panabaker hedges. "Caitlin has tried to be empathetic to the situation that he does want powers, while still keeping secret that she does have them."
Closing quote

It's tough to be average, everyday, normal guy...hang in there, Wally.
