Here’s What Kiersey Clemons Had to Say About Rick Famuyiwa’s Departure From The Flash
The Flash has been having a terrible time with directors, with both Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa departing the project within a six month period of each other. There hasn't been any news yet on who's to take over, and the the Flash's release date in March 2018 is expected to be delayed.

When Famuyiwa's departure was first announced, many fans were wondering if he'd take Kiersey Clemons with him. Clemons had worked with Famuyiwa on his hit movie, Dope, and some (evidently confused with how contracts work) thought that she would relinquish her part as Iris West. However, it was subsequently announced that Clemons had already shot a cameo for Justice League, proving she's here to stay for the long run of the DCEU.

Recently, HR conversed with Clemons about her thoughts on Famuyiwa's departure on the project, and she was not pleased.

Opening quote
Rick was one of the main reasons I wanted to do the movie. So him not being a part of it is obviously very upsetting to me…

All I can do is give it up to the gods. Let's see what happens. Let's see who's going to jump in…

Ezra and I are going to do what we promised to do from the beginning. No matter who the director is, I am going to do what I think Iris should be.
Closing quote

There are definitely a lot of talented directors currently on the market, but whether or not WB will be able to bag one for The Flash is yet to be seen. Though both Ezra Miller and Kiersey Clemons are immensely talented artists, it's hard to get excited for a project with no director attached to it. Hopefully, DC and WB find the right man for the job, and The Flash turns out to be just as charming and spectacular as its TV and comics counterparts.
