A New Sega Genesis Is Coming
Not impressed with the Nintendo Switch? Well, today's modern video game system scene is about to get a shot of nostalgia thanks to a Brazilian company who is producing a clone of the '90s classic console, Sega Genesis.

Sega has had a deal with toymaker Tectoy since the early '90s, which allows the Brazilian-based company to make Sega consoles even to this day. Their latest rendition is the Limited Edition Mega Drive - the name Genesis went by outside the U.S. The new console is an exact clone of the 16 bit masterpiece on which you first played Sonic the Hedgehog, and you can preorder it on Tectoy's site now for a little over $118. Where you'll find cartridges to play is another matter.

Nostalgic video game systems are hot right now, with tiny digital versions like the NES Classic Edition, the Atari Flashback, and yes, the Sega Genesis Classic from AtGames all expecting to be hot holiday gift items.
