Is It Too Early to Start Talking Stranger Things Season 3?
Stranger Things season 2 has just barely started shooting, so why are we already talking about season 3? Because we can't get enough Stranger Things, that's why!

Director Shawn Levy, who directed two episodes in the series' first season and is directing two in the second, spoke to Collider about his work on the new season - and even mentioned that he and series creators the Duffer Brothers have already discussed their ideas for a potential third season.
Opening quote
"We are not gonna be caught off guard and we don't wanna be making stuff up like the day before we have to write it and make it, so we are definitely optimistic and we have started thinking ahead."
Closing quote

Well, that certainly sounds like good news. Nothing would be worse for the show's future than an obvious and Lost-esque collapse of the show's logic, and we're glad to hear that they're already taking steps to avoid that. Levy also talked about what fans can expect in season 2, and stated that the main focus will be on the characters' attempts to return to normalcy after the events of season 1.
Opening quote
"We are definitely sticking primarily with our core group, and what is different, how are they changed from the experience of last season… maybe 'normal' is never possible again ... Will Byers was in that Upside Down for a while. So Season 2 is about this determined desire to return to normalcy in Hawkins, in the Byers family, in that group of friends, and it's the struggle to reclaim normalcy and maybe the impossibility of it."
Closing quote

That sounds like the most logical place for the show to go in season 2, and we can't wait to see it.
