Marvel Has Plans for a Ghost Rider Solo Spin-Off
Ghost Rider has been a breakout character in his short tenure on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so it's only natural that fans would speculate about (and hope for) a potential spin-off series. Now, Ghost Rider actor Gabriel Luna is confirming that there are future plans for the character at Marvel, and they could even make it onto the big screen.

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Luna was asked whether it were a possibility that Ghost Rider could get his very own spin-off, and Luna confirmed that Marvel already has plans for the character (if not official ones):
Opening quote
"It's been talked about, there's definitely deals in place for that potential. But I just take it one day at a time. I have so much fun now I just want to make sure I get these episodes right. If they throw more episodes on my plate, I will do my best to do well with those stories as well."
Closing quote

From the sounds of it, Luna's contract might encompass either a solo series or a movie, and Luna was coy about which one has a possibility of happening:

Opening quote
"I don't have a preference. People talk about 'Ah man he'd be great as a feature,' which is [an] idea too... It could be in the cinema, it could live on Netflix, whatever it is."
Closing quote

Although many fans would love to see a Ghost Rider movie, it seems much more likely that we'll see a Ghost Rider Netflix series. A television character transitioning to film would be unprecedented, but there's a far greater chance that the fans of AOS would watch a Robbie Reyes Defenders series. Fingers crossed!
