The New Supergirl Promo May Confirm Hank Henshaw as Cyborg Superman
Supergirl Season 2 has introduced a lot of new characters, among them Mon-El and Guardian, but the weirdest one may be yet to come. According to the synopsis released for the upcoming episode The Darkest Place, we're going to meet Cyborg Superman:

Opening quote
IT'S SUPERGIRL VS. CYBORG SUPERMAN - While Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) tries to clear his name after being accused of a murder committed by another vigilante, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) heads out on a solo mission to rescue Mon-El (Chris Wood) who has been captured by CADMUS. While fighting to free Mon-El, Supergirl comes face to face with Cyborg Superman
Closing quote

As soon as the word got out, speculation started swirling about whether Tyler Hoechlin would be playing the cyborg version of himself, which would mean that someone managed to turn Kara's best Kryptonian pal into a caped Terminator. An added layer of intrigue comes from Cyborg Superman's identity in the comics: Hank Henshaw. As we know, Hank Henshaw apparently died when Jeremiah Danvers sacrificed himself to save J'onnz J'onnz (aka, Martian Manhunter). J'onzz has been impersonating Henshaw ever since, but it's unlikely that he'd be the one to take on the role of Cyborg Superman. So who's going to be the new robo-Supes?

Well, it's possible that Hank Henshaw may actually be Cyborg Superman after all. And we don't mean Martian Manhunter—we mean the real Hank Henshaw. The one that was supposed to be dead. The new promo gives credence to the idea that the real Henshaw, like Jeremiah, survived:

Yeah, that's David Harewood, the actor that plays Hank, kicking Supergirl around and saying she needs to die. This falls right into line with what Harewood has said in the past when asked if Henshaw was really dead: "There's always a chance! It'd fun to play him again; I quite like him. But yeah, there's definitely a chance. Watch this space. You never know!"

What we do know is that Tyler Hoechlin is not going to be Cyborg Superman. According to an interview with TVLine, Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg flat out said the rumors were not true: "Cyborg Superman is not [being played by] Tyler Hoechlin."

There's still a couple options besides Hank, including the possibility that Mon-El may be turned into a robotic abomination before Kara can save him. Others think that Jeremiah Danvers, Kara's adoptive father, may be the one to get the Million Dollar Man treatment, which makes sense since he's been in CADMUS' possession for several years. But between the new promo and Harewood's statements, our money is on Henshaw becoming Cyborg Superman in the new episode.

We'll see who it is at 8 PM on Nov 21st, on The CW!
