New Crossover Clip Shows Supergirl Meeting the Rest of the DC Team, And It's Delightful
Despite vehement denials from TV execs last year that 1) Superman would never appear in Supergirl and 2) that Supergirl would never do a crossover with Arrow or The Flash, things have changed. Kara Danvers is now on the CW, and we're currently bouncing in our seats, awaiting the biggest DC TV crossover of all time, with Green Arrow, the Flash, and the Legends of Tomorrow all teaming up to fight the Dominators in a 4-episode event dubbed "Heroes vs. Aliens". And guess what: it's just as wonderful as we imagined.

EW has released a new 30-second promo that shows Kara coming through the portal to join the team on Earth One, which includes a less-than-impressed Oliver Queen and a slightly skeptical Legends of Tomorrow team:

DC is often criticized for being too dark, too serious, and too melodramatic, but this little scene is just bursting at the seams with fun. Kara is a little shy getting introduced (despite being able to bench press a building), Ollie's kind of gruff (he's had to deal with magic, murdering people again, and now aliens...), and Barry's just as charming as ever. Superheroes may be famous for their witty repartes (ie, Spider-Man et al), but Supergirl proves she's got the best comeback of all: etching her own symbol into concrete with laser-eyes. The quote "Best. Team-up. Ever!" just sums it all up.

It's easy for people with different powers (or no powers, in the case of Green Arrow) to feel like they're being upstaged when they decide to work together—Batman was always the butt of Justice League jokes because he can't fly, and Wally West may be turning into a supervillain after being haunted by dreams of being a speedster himself. We've spoken before about how some of the other Arrowverse heroes might be less than enthused to see Supergirl, especially Wild Dog, but we've got a feeling that Kara's irrepressible goodness will ease tensions and allow everyone to focus on the real threat: the aliens (which Barry refers to as "World War Z zombies").

So get ready to hear some friendship speeches and—oh God, wait, the upcoming episode synopses are ominous. Help, Kara!

The DC crossover will start with Supergirl on November 28th at 8 PM on the CW.
