Telltale Releases Teaser for New Guardians of the Galaxy Video Game
Around the time Telltale released their first teaser for Batman: The Telltale Series, they also made it known that they were working on their very first Marvel project. Now, they've finally revealed their plans, having just released a teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, a five episode interactive narrative, and in classic Guardian fashions, it's set to King Harvest's "Dancing in the Moonlight."

There's no actual gameplay in the teaser, but when it comes to Telltale, there's a world of possibilities for how the game could go. They've yet to make a bad game, and their most recent release, Batman: The Telltale Series, has been getting rave reviews for being one of the most original Batman tales of all time. Telltale has been working with comic properties for quite a while now, having made The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. This is their first venture with a Marvel property, however, so it'll be exciting to see the finished result.

Telltale is known for their use of comics inspired graphics and choice-driven gameplay. For instance, in TWD, characters can pick whether to exile certain survivors from their group, kill potential threats or spare them, and let people turn or put them out of their misery. In Batman, players have been given the ability to craft their own version of the Dark Knight, and whether or not Bruce is a brutal vigilante or a romantic, moral crusader is totally in their control. There are so many different directions Telltale could take a Guardians game, and seeing what the company ends up doing with the property is going to be a lot of fun.

Guardians of the Galaxy: A Telltale Series will likely hit consoles sometime in early-to-mid 2017.
