Westworld's Website Hints At The Finale's Aftermath in The Coolest, Most Cryptic Way Possible
The Westworld finale is finally over. Was there a lot of murder? Yes. Was it as crazy as J.J. Abrams promised? Yes. Is this the end of Westworld? No. Just in case you wanted to take a look back and get a better handle on what the hell happened, when, and how, here's a fan-made timeline of the show's mythology. After you've read through that and all the fans theories (which will take about 8 months and all your sanity) the only thing left to do is wait until 2018 for Season 2.

Or you can dive into the new, cryptic little ARG the showrunners have left for you.

The official Westworld site has been turned in a nightmarish, glitched-out terminal where you can talk to Aeden, the helpful park info-bot, and hash out the aftermath of the finale, including the whereabouts of Maeve, the Man in Black, Teddy, and others. For anyone not familiar with the show, Aeden's short responses are pretty cryptic, but those who have been paying attention the whole season will begin to feel a creeping horror when Aeden says things like:

Opening quote
MY NAME IS AEDEN…BUT I THINK YOU KNOW THAT ALREADY. WE'VE SPOKEN BEFORE, HAVEN'T WE? NOT JUST HERE, BUT IN THE PARK. I…DON'T THINK I WOULD CALL US FRIENDS, BUT I ONLY GET FLASHES. WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?
Closing quote

The only responses are "I SAVED YOUR LIFE" and "I KILLED YOU." No matter what you pick, Aeden says:

Opening quote
YOU- YOU SHOT ME…I COULD NEVER FORGET THAT LOOK. MALICE TUCKED UNDER THE BRIM OF A WHITE HAT.
Closing quote

The deeper you go into the conversation, the more chilling the responses get, especially when you ask to explore the Mesa and the Escalante. We won't spoil things for you, but the whole interaction takes on the feel of a classic game of Choose-Your-Own-Adventure or Zork, except with the dystopian world of Westworld on the other side of the computer. This is the same website that would respond with "You're in a prison of your own sins. Hell is empty, and the devils are here. Arnold will come for you" if you typed in "Violent delights have violent ends" three times.

These little Easter egg/ARGs have been around since Portal 2 and Halo, but the Westworld one is a special kind of genius. Go check it out now at DiscoverWestworld.com!
