Mark Hamill's Trickster Fights the Original Flash in New Mid-Season Finale Clip
The Flash just released a sneak peek from the mid-season finale tonight, which features the return of Mark Hamill's Joker Trickster. And just to fully complete this welcome blast from the past, he's facing off against the original Flash—Jay Garrick, the first Flash in the comics, played by John Wesley Shipp, who first played Barry Allen in the 1990s series.

In the upcoming episode, titled "The Present," Barry travels to Earth-3 to find Jay Garrick for advice about defeating Savitar. Meanwhile, Garrick has his plate full, as he's busy fighting Earth-3's version of the Trickster, played by the returning Mark Hamill. Unfortunately, this is probably the closest we'll ever come to seeing a Hamill live-action Joker, but we'll take what we can get.

This won't be the first time John Wesley Shipp and Hamill have worked together onscreen, as Hamill played the same role in the 90s series. They have appeared in the same episode of The Flash before, but while Shipp was playing Henry Allen. This episode will mark the first time we get to see a 90s Flash reunion.

The Flash's mid-season finale will air tonight at 8pm on The CW.
