After that tiny, tiny tease earlier this week, the first Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer is finally here. And while we already knew about a few of the cool surprises (the web wings, Zendaya's snarkiness), there's one highly anticipated element that's even more prominent than we expected: Tony Stark's deep, abiding love for Peter Parker.

Judging from this trailer, Iron Man loves Spider-Man almost as much as Deadpool does. Tony Stark demonstrated an affection for Peter in Civil War, and that relationship already looks to be a highlight of the movie. Since Uncle Ben is already dead when the movie starts (thank God), Tony seems to be taking on almost a surrogate father role with the young superhero, albeit a slightly withholding one. We knew that Robert Downey Jr. would be making a small appearance, but we assumed that with Downey's busy schedule, it would be a glorified cameo. It might just be a marketing ploy, but if this trailer is any indication, it looks like he'll have a more significant role than we thought.

The trailer also managed to highlight everything else we're looking forward to in Homecoming: the lighthearted John Hughes-esque humor we saw in the San Diego Comic Con footage, brief glimpses of Michael Keaton's Vulture, Marvel in-jokes, cool new Tony Stark-provided upgrades, and most of all, Tom Holland's earnest, adorable take on the character. We already knew we loved him from Civil War, but if it's possible, this trailer made us love him even more.

Spider-Man: Homecoming also stars Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Laura Harrier as Liz Allan, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Bokeem Woodbine as Shocker, and Donald Glover in an undisclosed role (hopefully Miles Morales). It comes out on July 7, 2017.
