Margot Robbie to Star in All-Female DC Villains Movie 'Gotham City Sirens'
Fresh off her Critics Choice Award for the role, Margot Robbie is set to return as Harley Quinn in a new spinoff movie.

Reteaming with Suicide Squad director David Ayers, Robbie will star in Gotham City Sirens, an upcoming all-female villains movie that will take place within the DCEU. The film, which is being written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, is based upon the DC comic book series of the same name, which ran from 2009 to 2011 focused on the following female members of Batman's rogue's gallery: Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy. Other than Harley, no other characters for the film have been announced, but it seems likely that the other two well-known characters - neither of whom have appeared yet in the DCEU - will show up.

The movie will be made before the previously rumored Suicide Squad sequel and Deadshot spinoff, and represents the latest shake up of DCEU's upcoming slate. Last week, it was announced that Justice League 2 was being pushed back in favor of Ben Affleck's The Batman. I don't think it's a coincidence that Robbie and Affleck were the most well-liked parts of their respective films and are now having their own projects prioritized, nor do I blame Warner Bros. for making these moves. People like Batman and Harley Quinn, so they might as well give the people what they want!
