Injustice 2 Finally Gets an Official Release Date
DC Comics may have had a rocky 2016 with their cinematic outings, but one medium that they have undoubtedly conquered is video games. Ignoring the problems with the PC version, Batman: Arkham Knight was a great way for Rocksteady to cap off their trilogy, and Telltale's Batman: The Telltale Series added some unique and shocking twists to the Batman mythos. The next DC game due out is Injustice 2, which was just given a release date of May 16, 2017 in a tweet from the head of developer NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon.

Injustice 2 has seen some really intriguing trailers released, as well as some fight clips featuring some of the new characters, like Blue Beetle, Deadshot, Supergirl, Atrocitus, and Gorilla Grodd, just to name a few. The first installation in the series went over well with fans and critics alike, and was hailed as one of the best arcade-style fighting games of recent years. The team has promised to implement a gear system for this go around, and it looks like there will be plenty of additions and changes from the first Injustice, though the basic premise and playing style seem to have remained intact.
