CW Renews All Arrow-verse Shows And Restarts 'Constantine'
CW has gradually turned into a great channel for genre shows, especially the superhero genre. So it's not a huge surprise that they announced they're renewing Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow for new seasons. What's a lot more surprising is that they also announced they're adding a new show to their "Arrow-Verse" of TV shows: Constantine, which lasted for only a season on NBC before getting canned.

Along with their superhero fare, CW is also renewing Jane the Virgin, iZombie, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The seemingly unstoppable Supernatural will also be entering its 13th season. And lastly, Constantine will be returning as an animated series on CW Seed, the channel's online streaming site. While being animated, it's not quite the same, but fans of the show will be happy to know Matt Ryan will once again return to voice the sleazy paranormal expert. It will mostly be five-to-ten minute shorts similar to Vixen, the animated superhero show already on Seed.

Based on the Hellblazer comic series, Constantine had a following while on NBC but could never keep its ratings high enough. But a high point of the show was Ryan, who nailed the role. He's since guest starred on an episode of Arrow and voiced the character in the upcoming animated Justice League Dark movie. But it's great to have him back in a permanent role, and there's a good chance that it could cross over into Arrow season 6, The Flash season 4, Supergirl season 3, or DC's Legends of Tomorrow season 3. Or any combination of the four.

All of the new season are set to begin in fall 2017, although there's no set dates just yet.
