An Official 'Logan' Synopsis Has Been Posted by Hugh Jackman
James Mangold's Logan, currently slated to be Hugh Jackman's final film as Wolverine, is fast approaching its release date in March. From what we've gathered so far, it's going to be a quieter, brooding action film about Wolverine traveling the countryside with Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and the young mutant X-23 (Dafne Keen). Fortunately, Jackman posted a slightly more in-depth synopsis of the film across social media today, saying only that it's "official."

Set in front of the bleak fields we've seen so much of in the trailers, the image reads as follows:
Opening quote
"In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces."
Closing quote

"Dark forces" can obviously mean quite a few things, but we know Boyd Holbrook will co-star as Donald Pierce, head of the villainous cyborg Reavers, so they're a safe guess. Stephen Merchant will also appear as the mutant-detecting Caliban, whose powers present a significant challenge to Logan's "attempts to hide." We've seen the claws come out in the trailers, so he certainly won't be hiding forever.

Logan, with its hard R rating, comes out on March 3rd, 2017.
