Ben Affleck Says Batman Fans Are "A Pain in the Ass" On Video
For the most part, asking an actor about an unreleased project is a titillating little game of "I don't know if I can tell you this, but..." followed by some hints, or a straight-up "I can't talk about it." Rumors and statements about the Ben Affleck Batman movie (dubbed "Batfleck"), however, have ranged from Affleck waving away a timeline and saying he's going to take his time to saying it's all on track and will start filming in the spring. Most recently, it sounded like the movie is delayed, due to possible issues with the Justice League film.

Now, Ben Affleck has officially gotten so sick of people asking about the movie that he's told a Canadian ET reporter that the whole experience has been a "pain in the ass." Here's the 25- second clip:

On the one hand, we understand where Affleck is coming from as a director and actor: here's someone who came out with a new project, Live By Night, that they're proud of and want people to get excited about, and no one appreciates it. On the other hand, though we're all complicit in eagerly watching for (and reporting on) new Batman updates, that's just the thing—fans want to know about the movies they're excited about. Few people are cheering for the new Batman movie to fail, they're cheering to know more about it, and to see it.

And on that front, we give Affleck credit for reassuring fans that the movie is going to be special, it's going to be done right, and that they're going to love it. That will have to be enough for now.
