While we don't endorse anybody picking a fight with Jason Momoa, someone's got to be the bad guy who faces off against him in the upcoming Aquaman - and now we know who that's going to be.

The Hollywood Reporter states that actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who appeared in Netflix's The Get Down last year, will be squaring off against the King of Atlantis as his archenemy from the comics, Black Manta. The character is known for his sweet-looking red-eyed helmet which is capable of omitting a Cyclops-esque optic blast.

Also likely coming on board the superhero flick is Nicole Kidman, who THR reports is in early talks to portray Aquaman's mother, Queen Atlanna. If the deal works out, she and Abdul-Mateen will join Momoa, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Defoe as Dr. Vulko, and Patrick Wilson as Orm, AKA Ocean Master, Aquaman's villainous half-brother.

Aquaman is expected to start filming this April in Australia, and has a premiere date set for October 5, 2018.
