Adult Swim Posts a Prank 'Rick and Morty' Season 3 'Opening'
Adult Swim
Adult Swim knows how desperate Rick and Morty fans are for a look at the new season, which has been painfully delayed for some time now. And the "opening scene" of the new season, which was posted online by Adult Swim Australia on February 20, isn't likely to alleviate your pain.

In fact, it's probably going to make it worse. Take a look below to see the "peek at Season 3":

Your ears do not deceive you. That is absolutely Adult Swim giving you a Rick (and Morty) Roll. Claiming innocence in the matter, Adult Swim has also pinned the following statement as the top comment on the video:
Opening quote
"Our sincerest apologies, there appears to have been a technical issue with our editing program we will attend to this as quickly as possible."
Closing quote

Hilarious. Season 2 ended way back on October 4, 2015, and since then fans have seen nothing from the new season. Not only that, but co-creator Dan Harmon said last month that he didn't know when season 3 was going to arrive, that they were having trouble writing it, and that he and fellow creator Justin Roiland were constantly fighting with each other.

However, earlier this month, Harmon seemed to change his tune a little bit on an episode of his podcast Harmontown, when he claimed that the season was written and was now in the process of being animated. And he did so with an autotuner.

So what's really going on with Rick and Morty season 3? It's hard to say beyond "they're drawing it," but at least the people in charge are still creating comedy in its stead.
