Chinese Farmer Arrested After Alien Hoax

A Chinese farmer who claimed he successfully captured an Alien has been jailed by authorities. Mr. Li has been sentenced to 5 days detention for disturbing public order with his 'fabrications' that he electrocuted one of a group of aliens by the Yellow River. In fact, the alien in question was actually found to be a rubber model, and a poor one at that.

Indeed, after Mr.Li had posted pictures of his triumphant catch online, the intrigued Chinese authorities decided to investigate. There, they found the entity in a freezer at his home, the address of which he posted on line in an attempt to add credibility to his claim. After the investigators discovered the amateurish nature of the hoax, Mr.Li was summoned and sentenced.

Despite his rather outlandish claim of alien capture and the poor rubber model, Mr.Li is said to have received over a million responses to his initial post, something that the authorities no doubt took into consideration when sentencing the man.

Many of you will no doubt wish other renowned hoaxers could be 'put away' for a day or two to act as a deterrent, but unfortunately for you and fortunately for UFO hoaxers, most countries don't take such a strict line on such matters.
