'Justice League' Footage Shows Jason Momoa's Aquaman Under the Sea
As fans anticipate the release of Justice League, DC Comics has been offering us crumbs to keep us satisfied. Following a trailer of what to expect autumn 2017, Director Zack Snyder tweeted a short clip of Aquaman swimming towards a throne in Atlantis. He also mentioned it was his birthday and he's working anyway, so at least this film will come out on schedule (unlike a certain Batman film).
The trailers only allowed us to see the icy blue-eyed Aquaman on land, even if in one shot he was enduring a the wrath of a heavy wave, so to see him actually on his home turf is something new. Aquaman, also known as Arthur Curry, is played by Jason Momoa, best known for his role as Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones and his leading role in Netflix's Frontier.

In Snyder's clip, presumably from Justice League as the Aquaman film has not yet started production, Aquaman swims toward someone in a throne, presumably in his kingdom of Atlantis. Some suspect that it is Orm, his villainous half-brother, while others predict it is Nuidis Vulko, the chief scientific adviser of Atlantis, since he is already confirmed to be in Justice League and played by Patrick Wilson.
Justice League will also feature Ben Affleck as Batman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Gal Gadot as Wonderwoman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. J.K. Simmons will happily reprise his role of Commissioner Gordon in the film, having described the set as "really fun," saying "Zack [Snyder] runs sort of a big, happy family."
Justice League sails into theaters on November 17, 2017.
