The First 'Inhumans' Set Photos Are Already Here and Include Lockjaw
Marvel
Just days after finalizing their cast, Marvel's Inhumans has already begun shooting in Honolulu, Hawaii. And wouldn't you know it, some set photos have already been leaked.

In the shots, we get our first look at star Anson Mount as the Inhuman king, Black Bolt, and while we're digging his somewhat medieval costume, there's a definite lack of the classic webbed wings and tuning fork from the comics. Then again, those elements could be part of another costume that Mount wears in the series that he's just not wearing here. Also showing up in the photos is Lockjaw... sort of. The giant teleporting bulldog will clearly be CGI, but you can get a sense of his size by checking out his blue screen stand-in that was present for the filming.

In addition to Mount's Black Bolt, the show will also star Serinda Swan as his Queen Medusa, Ken Leung as karate-loving Karnak, Eme Ikwuakor as the monstrous Gorgon, Mike Moh as the amphibious Triton, Isabelle Cornish as the element-controlling Crystal, and Game of Thrones' Iwan Rheon as big bad Maximus, the brother of Black Bolt. All of these characters have been a part of the Inhumans since Marvel introduced the brand in the 1960s, but many characters have been added to their ranks in the comics in recent years as Marvel has attempted to raise their profile.

One of these new additions, Auran, has snagged herself a starring role on the series as well, to be played by Sonya Balmores. Rounding out the cast is Ellen Woglom in an unnamed, but human-sounding role, as a woman who works at an aerospace company and who is obsessed with space. None of the Inhuman characters who've appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are currently slated to appear in the show.

Here's a closer look at Black Bolt and what will eventually be Lockjaw:

Inhumans will premiere its first two episodes in IMAX theaters on September 1, 2017 before premiering all eight on ABC starting on September 26.
