Zack Snyder Debuts the New, Machine Gun-Studded Batmobile for 'Justice League'

With Justice League drawing ever nearer, director Zack Snyder has shared a brand new photo of the updated Batmobile, and it's a far cry from the colorful, rocket-powered, open-topped car from the classic '60s cartoon. While the main frame of the car remains the same, it seems that Bruce Wayne has decided that his vehicle wasn't nearly deadly enough and added three new machine guns and an array of other weaponry.

The changes can best be seen by viewing side-by-side photos of the Batmobile before and after its upgrade:

This change certainly fits with Snyder's interpretation of the Caped Crusader, but already fans are beginning to express concern about what this means for Batman's famous rules against a) killing and b) using guns.

Snyder has shown little regard for either of these defining character attributes so far: the Batman is portrayed throughout Batman v Superman as a brutal, efficient killer who's willing to use whatever tools are at his disposal—including guns, grenades, and kryptonite—to achieve his goal of ridding Gotham of crime.

It's likely, then that these new additions to the Batmobile signal that Bruce Wayne will be even more trigger-happy in the upcoming movie, which is plenty of reason for Snyder's critics to feel uneasy. The promised lighter tone of Justice League won't fit too well tonally with a Batman who's more violent and murderous than ever before.
