'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Footage Live-Tweeted from Disney Meeting
Lucasfilm/Disney

The first tidbits of Star Wars: The Last Jedi have been shown, although not to us regular folk just yet. Disney shareholders had the opportunity to see sneak peeks of the company's upcoming films at a corporate meeting in Denver, one of them being the upcoming Episode VIII.

While the footage hasn't yet been released to the public, Los Angeles Times reporter Daniel Miller tweeted about what he saw. Unfortunately, Miller was not allowed to take photos or videos of the footage, but it's still more information is more than we had yesterday. It is presumed that the footage shareholders saw will double as the preview fans will see at the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando next month.

The following tweets could possess some minor spoilers, so beware:

From Miller's tweets, we can expect an exchange between Luke (Mark Hamill) and Rey (Daisy Ridley), a plethora of landscapes, appearances by Finn (John Boyega) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew is expected to reprise his role), a shot of General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) in military attire, a failing X-Wing, and ultimatums.

We're predicting Episode VIII is going to be the darkest episode of the newest trilogy and feature Luke Skywalker quite a bit. Until we get our hands on this exclusive footage, it is predictions and worrying about Finn's conscious state for us.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is expected to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
