Yesterday, Warner Bros gave us a sneak peek at the upcoming Justice League trailer with a few seconds of tantalizing footage featuring Jason Momoa's Aquaman doing something cool with his trident. As it turns out, there were more of these on the way, including one for Batman:

We've noted previously that the Batmobile's new machine gun array is a bit troubling, considering Batman's two Rules (against killing and guns), but the new sneak peek doubles down and makes those machine guns the centerpiece of the clip. Batman also does a very uncharacteristic thing by firing lethal weapons at an opponent while driving—though that body falling through the air for half a second at 0:08 may be some kind of robot.

Leaving aside the issue of how this fits within Batman's rules against killing, it's hard to deny that the new guns do make for an impressive display of force. Speaking of which, The Flash looks pretty sweet in motion too:

One of DC's biggest challenges with this movie is making Ezra Miller's character distinctive from all the other speedsters that have appeared in cinema (and TV) lately. The trick to this, apparently, is lightning effects as The Flash runs, which is certainly eye-catching. We're just glad they didn't go with the original version of his costume.

So while Justice League's teasers do nothing to prove that DC has learned its lesson about tone or characterization (everything's still dark and gritty here), these clips seem to prove that Zack Snyder's given the movie his all when it comes to visual effects again. It's a consolation prize for those hoping for an optimistic DC film, but at least this movie will probably look pretty.
