Marvel Reveals New Details on 'Black Panther,' 'Captain Marvel' and More
On Monday night, Marvel Studios invited several media outlets to their offices at Disney in Burbank, where they offered new details and gave sneak peeks at several upcoming Phase 3 films. While official images and footage isn't out yet, a huge information dump was given out, so check out what we learned about some upcoming MCU movies. Of course, spoilers ahead:

First up is Black Panther, which comes out February 2018. By far, this was the film everyone learned the most about, since Marvel actually screened some footage. The screened footage, not yet available to the general public, was all over the place, but seems awesome. There was a scene of Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o) taking out some soldiers, another showing the ceremony when T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) became the Black Panther, and even a James Bond-like scene featuring a tuxedo-wearing T'Challa brawling in a casino with goons who work for Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis, returning from Age of Ultron).

Coming out later in summer 2018 is Ant-Man and The Wasp. The studio showed off a ton of concept art making it seem like the sequel will have even more fun changing sizes than the original.  There was a scene with a shrunken van full of people being played with by a dog, another where centipedes had been blown up to giant, city-destroying size, and a scene where Ant-Man returns to his Giant-Man form (only seen in Captain America: Civil War) and acts as a bridge, letting cars drive over him.

Both Ant-Man and the Wasp are getting new suits for the movie, and there were hints that there could be a flashback featuring the original Ant-Man (Hank Pym) and the Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) in action.

And finally, not coming out until 2019 is Captain MarvelThe first concept art was revealed of Brie Larson in full costume, and her uniform is reminiscent of the one worn by the character in the comics by Kelly Sue DeConnick. In other words, no thigh-high Ms. Marvel-style boots. It's said that her sash is more utility belt-like, and the uniform itself is closer to armor than spandex. There was also an image of her fighting a bad guy, who apparently resembles a robotic Kree Sentry.

There were other small morsels revealed, like that Spider-Man will appear in Avengers 4 (which still doesn't have an official title) and that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi will appear in the film as the CGI character - and "Planet Hulk" fan favorite - Korg. Oh, and the first trailer for Black Panther will arrive this summer, probably at either D23 or Comic-Con.

Marvel should really have an open house more often.
