If you've been following the construction of Disneyland's new, hugely expansive Star Wars experience, you'll know that there's plenty to be excited about. Perhaps, though, it wasn't quite possible to understand how big a deal this all is...that is, until Disney shared a very tiny look at what's coming.

As part of the annual D23 Expo, during which the House of Mouse shares their most exciting future projects, journalists were given a detailed look at a miniature model that shows what the entirety of Star Wars Land will look like when it's finished. To put it simply, it looks spectacular.

The scope of this project is incredible—rather than simply being a few small buildings and a couple of rollercoasters, it looks like Star Wars land will be the kind of place you can easily get lost in, recreating the vibe of a bustling spaceport not unlike Mos Eisley.

Of course, this park isn't specifically based on Tatooine, or any location that's we've spent a lot of time at in a movie thus far, but that's all for the better. By giving us a unique planet, the park allows visitors to feel like they're stepping into their own brand-new Star Wars adventure, unshackled by the events of the movies, all while capturing the look and feel of any of the locations from the original trilogy and Disney's new series of movies.

Of course, not everything is on full display here. We don't get a good look at any of the rides that will be spread out across this area, nor are we given a good look at the various food carts and gift shops. These elements aren't a necessary part of the model at this stage, though—its purpose is to show just how unbelievably lifelike and immersive this part of the park will be, and in that respect, Disney's advanced showing definitely succeeds.

One day soon, we'll all get the chance to stand in the shadow of the Millennium Falcon. Unlike Luke's initial appraisal of the famous ship, the park looks like it'll be far from a piece of junk, but she's also definitely got it where it counts.
