'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Gives an Update With Their 'Behind the Scenes' Video

It's been a few months since we've gotten any new footage from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Which is normal, since the movie doesn't come out until this December, but that doesn't make the wait any less bearable.

And while it's no official trailer, Disney and Lucasfilm have released a fun new behind-the-scenes video from The Last Jedi, which finished filming a while ago. Not too much is revealed, but we do get a closer look at some new, mostly unknown characters played by Laura Dern, Benicio Del Toro and Kelly Marie Tran.

We also see plenty of footage of/interviews with Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, John Boyega, and Gwendoline Christie, and there's even some emotional footage of Carrie Fisher taken during filming. And just so we don't end on too sad of a note, Admiral Ackbar shows up too. See it below:

Just because we can, there's some details we can speculate about the video: the fact that they actually brought in Gwendoline Christie for an interview, combined with multiple shots of her silver-armored Stormtrooper Captain Phasma, suggests that Phasma might have more to do this time beyond getting shoved into a garbage chute. And the fact that Kelly Marie Tran seems to be with Boyega in all her scenes supports the rumors that Finn and newcomer Rose are going to have a plot line together while Rey is off training with Luke Skywalker.

And finally, there's some new footage of Rey's new Jedi outfit, which we'd only seen hinted at in some promotional materials for toy lines and Battlefront II. We see that both toward the beginning in a brief shot, and toward the end while Ridley is doing a silly dance with Boyega, which is presumably not going to make it into the film (although we can hope so).

Coming out alongside the new video is a series of new characters posters, showing everybody dressed in red for some unknown, thematic reason. Mark Hamill and John Boyega even had some snappy comments to throw in with their posters:
