Space Debris Sparks Mass UFO Sightings In Saudi Arabia

At 9pm local time on Thursday 16th January 2014, hundreds of people reported seeing a pair of UFOs in the skies above Saudi Arabia. Seen in the video above, the UFOs appeared to be blazing across the skies one directly after the other and the objects caused such a stir the sightings were reported by local news media. With these media reports came a series of explanations ranging from alien visitation to meteors, however according to a number of skytrackers, the UFO was in fact, a Chinese rocket burning up on reentry to Earth.

Renowned astronomer Mansour Al Mazroui had this to say about the event:

"This object was the debris of a Chinese rocket that launched a communication satellite in June 2008 and had been anticipated to enter the atmosphere on January 16th 2014 at around 10:57pm Saudi time."

It is thought that this spectacular display lasted a little over 3 minutes and was witnessed by thousands of people across the region.
