CBS Films has secured a significant deal to bring A.G Riddle's popular trilogy of 'Atlantis' novels to the big screen. The 'Origin Mystery' series, as it is officially known, starts with 'The Atlantis Gene' which Riddle self-published in March 2013 and follows Dr. Kate Warner, a brilliant geneticist who teams up with a devoted counter-terrorism agent to thwart a plot that could almost wipe out the human race.

Riddle's first novel received strong reviews and it wasn't long before the series generated a modest, but fervent following. With the second (The Atlantis Plague) and third (The Atlantis World) books released within the past year, the series has concluded and continues to grow its audience through strong word of mouth. However, the news of this deal is sure to fire Riddle's nail biting series to prominence with genre fans and many will be keen to see who CBS Films bring onto the project.

Our advice, read the books. The Atlantis series is the perfect blend of extinction event thriller, illuminati-style conspiracy and extraterrestrial mystery and, while the characters may not always be likeable, you'll find it damn near impossible to stop yourself turning the pages.
