Norman Reedus is Self-Publishing a Book of Daryl Dixon Fan Art

Norman Reedus is up there with Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch when it comes to geek culture patron saints, and this piece of news demonstrates that it's for good reason. He's in the process of self-publishing a book of Daryl Dixon art that fans have sent him over the years. The book will be called Thanks for All the Niceness, and part of the proceeds will go to charity, specifically the Bachmann Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson Foundation

Here is a preview of the art in the book, which includes traditional portraits as well as more unconventional art, such as tattoos and cakes:

Daryl Dixon, who began the show as a borderline racist, redneck, two-dimensional mini-Merle, quickly became a fan favorite as his character began to show his tender side and became arguably the most complex character on the show. It helped that Reedus, who was already a cult figure from his turn in The Boondock Saints, was hailed as a breakout performer and that his character is the resident bad-ass and wields a crossbow.

Daryl and the rest of the Walking Dead crew will return for the fifth season on October 12.
