The Chart of Almost Every Spaceship Ever is Finally Finished

Over the last year, sci-fi enthusiast Dirk Loechel has been busy creating an (almost) comprehensive six comparison chart of all the different spaceships in popular culture. Here is the supposed final update, with the high-resolution poster available here:

The chart includes ships from nearly every sci-fi and gaming classic you can think of, such as Star Trek, Farscape, Babylon 5, Mass Effect, Wing Commander, EVE, Warhammer, Avatar, Aliens, Final Fantasy, Halo, Doctor Who, and The Fifth Element. Most exciting to this particular writer, it also includes ships from Battlestar Galactica, Sunshine's Icarus, and Wraith hives from Stargate: Atlantis. It also includes the real-life ISS, which in this context looks downright disappointing.

Unfortunately, it couldn't feasibly include every spaceship ever. We really shouldn't be looking a gift horse in the mouth, but some were upset that the chart failed to include the Death Star from Star Wars. To them, Dirk replied, "For reasons of image quality and chart organisation, only ships between a minimum of 100 meters and 24000 meters are applicable for this chart, sorry. Arbitrary? Yes! But I had to draw the line somewhere." (Plus, the chart includes about a thousand other ships from Star Wars.) This is also why the beloved Serenity doesn't make an appearance.
