New Images from Christopher Nolan's Interstellar Reveal the Spaceship

Interstellar was the cover story in a recent issue of Empire magazine, which revealed new stills from the highly anticipated film, as well as director Christopher Nolan's comparison of the movie to his other high-profile sci-fi film, Inception.

"It's almost a mirror image of 'Inception.' It expands out in the way 'Inception' contracts inwards," said Nolan, likely referring to "expanding" into space while Inception "contracts" into the depths of the mind.

"It's a very classically constructed movie, but the freshness of the narrative elements really enhance it. I liken it to the blockbusters I grew up with as a kid, family films in the best sense: edgy, incisive, challenging."

One of the new stills seemed to reveal the spaceship that the astronauts take to interstellar space, or at least some kind of shuttle used to explore planets. Unlike the other stills, this appears to be a set photo, with Nolan standing second from the right.

In other Interstellar news, Jessica Chastain recently relayed co-star Matthew McConaughey's pronounced reaction to the film: "In [McConaughey's] own words, the movie is an 'event.' He said he cried three times when he had seen it recently."
