First Images of Marvel's Unbeatable Squirrel Girl

Squirrel Girl is truly unbeatable. The character herself has never lost a fight, even against opponents with much more remarkable powers, she may get her own movie or television show, and now she finally has her first solo series, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. Entertainment Weekly has published Erica Henderson's cover for the first issue, as well as a variant cover by Art Adams.

Fan favorite Squirrel Girl has a genetic mutation that gives her the ability to control squirrels, which may not sound particularly formidable, but she remains undefeated, even after confrontations with some of Marvel's most potent supervillains. To date, she has beaten titans such as Doctor Doom, Thanos, Bi-Beast, Deadpool, and onetime lover Wolverine. She generally bests her (far more powerful) opponents using her ingenuity and by taking advantage of their underestimation of her.

Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, written by Ryan North and illustrated by Erica Henderson, will take a lighthearted tone, following Squirrel Girl as she enters university and attempts to balance her schoolwork with saving the world. Here is another artistic depiction of the superheroine by Henderson:
