Pac-Man and His Creator, Tōru Iwatani, Star in Full Trailer For Adam Sandler's Pixels
Pac Man's a bad guy? You better believe it, because the first full trailer for Sony Pictures' Pixels is here, and it features a host of classic arcade characters ravaging Earth in the most nostalgic alien invasion ever to hit the big screen.

Make no bones about it, this is going to be a tough concept to pull off, but the footage from the trailer does look promising. Director, Chris Columbus, appears to be going about this the right way in making the games themselves the star of the show, and seeing Pac Man creator Tōru Iwatani reunited with his hungry yellow opus was a nice touch.

What is slightly troubling for Pixels' prospects is the fact that it stars Adam Sandler and Kevin James, two actors who are in the middle of rotten strings of movies. Hopefully Chris Columbus's calibre will shine, through. After all, this is a man who has directed two Harry Potter movies (Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets) and written the screenplay for classics like The Goonies and Gremlins, so when it comes to nostalgia, Chris Columbus has what it takes to deliver.

Here's the official synopsis:
"In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens."
