Captain America: Civil War to Start Shooting in 2 Weeks, Plus First Plot Synopsis Revealed
Civil War is about to begin in the MCU. It was recently revealed that the third, and most important, installment in Marvel's Captain America trilogy, Captain America: Civil War is getting ready to start production in less than two weeks, and new casting calls have given us the first plot synopsis for the Russo Brothers' 2016 release.

"Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies."

For many, this synopsis will not hold any shocks. After all, Civil War is arguably the most famous story in all of Marvel comic book lore, so it would seem that such a brief overview would hold very little that could shock even the most casual of fans. What it does do, however, is start to build the excitement levels for what will be Marvel's biggest 2016 event (sorry Doctor Strange), and it's probably right about now that fans, like the characters in the movies, will begin to divide into two factions; Team Rogers and Team Stark.

The synopsis also highlights the close links Civil War will have with Avengers: Age of Ultron. Similar to how the impact of the 'Battle of New York' in the first Avengers were felt throughout the MCU, Ultron's exploits - and the Avengers' attempts to stop them - will directly lead to the plotlines explore in Civil War. This, of course, is nothing new for Marvel whose interwoven approach to storytelling will no doubt continue decades and decades (because we will never ever tire of comic book movies), but it's still nice to know there will be this added element of tension to Age of Ultron.

Captain America: Civil War will also feature Daniel Brühl who will be playing Marvel Villain, Baron Zemo. Unfortunately, there was no announcement of who will be playing Marvel's Spider-Man, but I guess you have to have something to look forward to, right?
