Wondercon 2015: Five Reasons to Get Excited for Orphan Black Season Three
The Orphan Black panel at Wonder Con 2015 was a nice little love letter to the fans, complete with inside jokes, heartfelt thanks, and an adorable video from Tatiana Maslany in which she apologized for not being there. It also premiered exclusive footage that they made us promise not to spoil. And I'll keep that promise, even as I tell you that creator Graeme Manson and cast members Dylan Bruce (Paul), Jordan Gavaris (Felix), Kristian Bruun (Donnie), Maria Doyle Kennedy (Mrs. S.), and Evelyne Brochu (Delphine)  Here are five spoiler-free reasons to get excited for season three, which premieres on BBC and all other AMC networks on April 18:

Ari Millen gives Tatiana Maslany a run for her money

Everyone was, of course, singing endless praises for Tatiana Maslany's performance as multiple clones for the entirety of the panel, which sets the bar pretty high for Ari Millen's Project Castor clones. "It's almost unfair to compare [Millen] to Tatiana" said Bruce, who worked with Millen the most of all the actors on the panel. But even with those high expectations, "he kicked ass this season.," said Bruce. "I can't wait for you guys to see it, I'm really proud of him."

At least one major couple will break up

If the preview footage was any indication, there will be several romantic shake-ups this season, some of which are more surprising than others. But the biggest surprise was the tearful break-up of a fan favorite couple, and I'll stop there before I really spoil it.

(There was also a throwaway hint that Ari Millen's character will make out with someone, although it wasn't clear if that was a joke. If it's not a joke, my money's on Felix.)

Donnie gets all the best one-liners

According to Manson and Bruun, Donnie and Alison will continue their tradition of providing comic relief in the upcoming season, with Donnie in particular stepping into the spotlight. Gavaris said, with good-natured envy, that Donnie gets "all the best lines" of the season, and that he predicted the character would become "more quoted than Felix."

Mrs. S's true loyalties will be revealed

Between Mrs. S, Delphine, and Paul, there are no shortage of supporting characters on Orphan Black with conflicting loyalties, and they will likely always remain complex. But the new footage shone significantly more light on Mrs. S's tough-to-swallow motivations, while characters like Paul remained much more opaque.

Clone Dance Party redux (sort of)

Manson is very much aware of the fact that the Clone Dance Party has become a phenomenon in itself, and he revealed that this season would try to replicate that success. While they won't try to pull the exact same stunt, there will be at least one technically accomplished, heartbreakingly cute scene with all the clones this year.
