Sesame Street's Avengers Parody is Absolutely Brilliant
Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently dominating the box-office in markets across the globe, and when it heads to North America this weekend Avengers fever is going to be at an all time high. The ever-astute Sesame Street team has jumped on the Marvel bandwagon by releasing this brilliant Avengers parody video entitled Aveggies: Age of Bon Bob. If the title seems a bit odd, read the official description below before you embark on this beautifully bizarre journey through a puppet-filled Battle of New York, and all will become clear.

A super villain was prepared to destroy all the healthy foods in the world, until one hero, actually, several heroes stuck together to save the world's vegetables! Together, Dr. Brownie, Onion Man, Captain Americauliflower, Black Bean Widow, Mighty Corn, and Zuchin-eye are...The Aveggies!

Of all the hilariously weird moments packed into the video, my favorite has to be Sesame Street's nod to the Marvel fan in-joke about Hawkeye's status in the group. When Zuchini-Eye responds to Dr. Brownie's criticism's by saying "I do stuff..I'm very cool, you know?" it immediately made me think of all those times moviegoers had said Clint Barton wasn't worthy of a place in the Avengers. Luckily for Clint, that criticism spawned a pro-Hawkeye movement and the sharpshooter is now something of a cult figure among many Marvel fans.

If this Sesame Street footage is a bit too 'out there' for your liking, check out the two new clips from Avengers: Age of Ultron, below:
