Marvel's Daredevil Was Netflix's Most-Watched Original Show This Season
Netflix is often frustratingly opaque with information like premiere dates, show expiration dates, ratings, etc. Now, Luth Research Group has compiled data from Netflix that will shed light on the latter, and it shows that Marvel's Daredevil has eclipsed all other Netflix original programs in popularity, including trusty standby House of Cards.

Marvel's Daredevil Is Netflix's Most-Watched Original Show This Year
As can be seen in the above chart, Daredevil performed better in the ratings than any other Netflix original program following its premiere. A whopping 10.7% of Netflix subscribers watched at least one episode during its first 11 days on the streaming service, compared to House of Cards, which attracted 6.5% over the first 30 days, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which started slower than House of Cards but ultimately attracted 7.3% over the first 30 days.

To be fair, House of Cards is in its third season, which means the buzz surrounding it will inevitably be less than for new shows. That would easily explain the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt fluke, but Daredevil beat House of Cards by a wide enough margin that it might very well be a threat to HOC's Netflix tentpole status. (Although, predictably, House of Cards was the most popular for binge-watching, with nearly half of the viewers watching at least three episodes in a single day.)

The first season of Marvel's Daredevil is now available to stream on Netflix.
