Honest 'Hulk' Trailer: 'Thor: The Dark World' Is Looking Pretty Good Right Now
Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk film may not be the worst movie ever made, but it's probably a large part of the reason that Hulk still doesn't have his own franchise. Between the terrible CGI (which was called "outdated" all the way back in 2003), the gimmicky scene transitions, and the protracted sequences in which Hulk stares at bushes, Honest Trailers feels comfortable calling Hulk "one of the dullest superhero movies ever made":

"Hulk, introspect!"

"Get ready for the most forgettable movie about a giant, rage-filled monster ever made."

Some of the points Screen Junkies makes are pretty undeniable, like the characterization of Hulk as "the hero that 2003 CGI clearly wasn't ready for" resulting in a monster that's "one part Playstation cut scene, one part frat guy, and two parts Shrek," and the description of Bruce Banner's father as "either an unpredictable mad scientist, or Nick Nolte just wandering on set and being himself for a few hours."

But to be fair, Hulk wasn't actually torn apart by critics; it currently has a 62% on Rotten Tomatoes and it received positive reviews from respected writers like Roger Ebert. And while Screen Junkies makes fun of the lack of smashing, many critics praised Lee's endeavor to make a more pensive, thoughtful superhero movie that got to the heart of the character.
