The Original Jurassic Park T-Rex Will Return in Jurassic World
It was exciting enough that original star B.D. Wong would reprise his role in Jurassic World, but it turns out that a much bigger star from Jurassic Park will return to the franchise in the upcoming sequel. The T-Rex that struck fear into so many children's hearts will be back, for a plot that director Colin Trevorrow compared to the Western "Unforgiven."

Trevorrow recently told Slashfilm, "The T-Rex that's in the film is the T-Rex from the original Jurassic Park. She is 22 years older. But she's not limping around."

"It's going to move a little bit differently, but it'll move differently because it's older. And we're giving her some scars and we're tightening her skin. So, she has that feeling of, like, an older Burt Lancaster. And this movie is her Unforgiven."

Burt Lancaster wasn't actually in Unforgiven, but in The Unforgiven, which is a movie about racism. So he's probably talking about the Clint Eastwood film Unforgiven, in which Eastwood plays an older outlaw who takes on one more job after years of living a pacifist lifestyle. Who knows what he meant by this comparison, but it could imply that Jurassic World is doing a Godzilla-like monster mash-up, in which the T-Rex becomes an unlikely antihero/savior and goes up against Indominus Rex.

Trevorrow also confirmed several other dinosaurs who will be in the movie, including Ankylosaurus and "a new kind of flying dinosaur that no one's ever seen before."
