Scarlett Johansson took to the stage to host Saturday Night Live last night, and the show's writers took advantage of having the Black Widow actress on hand by creating another hilarious Marvel video parody. This time, it was Marvel's lack of a Black Widow movie that found itself in the SNL team's crosshairs, with Johansson starring in a comedic parody of what a Natasha Romanoff movie might look like if Marvel really wanted to prove that the know what girls want.

As funny as this video is, it does actually touch on something that means a lot to many, many Marvel fans. As is briefly shown in Avengers: Age of Ultron, the backstory of Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, is easily one of the most intriguing elements of Marvel's Avengers line-up. It's therefore surprising that, considering there is such a hunger for more female-led Marvel stories, the studio has not taken advantage of the massive interest in one of their more human heroes.

Of course with the Captain Marvel movie set for release in 2018, Marvel's bosses have at least made a few strides in the right direction. But if they really want to show that they know what their fans want, giving Black Widow her own movie (which isn't a romantic comedy) would be a great start.
