ABC Releases Synopses for Marvel's Agent Carter Season 2 and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3
After finally deciding to renew Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ABC has released synopses for their upcoming seasons that signal big changes to come, especially on Agent Carter.

Here's the official synopsis for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season three:

Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) embarks on a deadly new secret mission to protect the world from new threats in the wake of SHIELD's wars with Hydra and a rogue faction of Inhumans.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Agent Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Nick Blood as Agent Lance Hunter and Adrianne Palicki as Agent Bobbi Morse.

As far as we can tell, this is just more of the same. Which is not to say that the third season will necessarily be more of the same, just that the synopsis isn't particularly revealing. Agent Carter's season two synopsis, however, is a different story:

"Marvel's Agent Carter" returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable secret agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home - and perhaps even a new love - she's about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

"Marvel's Agent Carter" stars Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter.

First, there's the change of location and the repetition of the word "new": new friends, new love interest, all seem to signal new cast members. Most unnervingly of all, Hayley Atwell is the only listed cast member, while all the series regulars were listed in AOS's summary. It appears that Atwell is the only confirmed cast member for season two, so we could be looking at a huge cast shake-up.

A shake-up could easily be a good thing in general, although we hope that Agent Carter doesn't throw the baby out with the bathwater and get rid of all the supporting characters. Jarvis definitely needs to come along for the ride, and we hope Angie will as well, especially since she's an aspiring actress who would fit in quite nicely in L.A.
