Ryan Reynolds Confirms Deadpool Has Finished Production
Sometimes we still can't believe that Deadpool is actually happening, but Ryan Reynolds has just teased information that will whet fans' appetites for the first official footage. Early this morning, the Deadpool film wrapped production, and Reynolds took the time to thank the fans who quite literally made it happen:

One could argue that fan support is always essential for adaptations to be made, and that's true, but fans were much more directly responsible in Deadpool's case. The film was in development hell for many years, a fate from which films are hardly ever rescued, but positive fan reaction to leaked test footage starring Ryan Reynolds inspired the studio to dust it off and finally make the movie.

Reynolds has kept up a steady stream of teases from the film, the most recent being this action shot of himself in full Deadpool costume and previewing the "merc with a mouth"'s trademark wit:

Stuck the landing. With my mouth.

Unfortunately, we probably won't see a trailer for a few months, as the filmmakers will likely want to show off the action scenes, which will take the most time in post-production. But if what we've seen so far is any indication, it will be well worth the wait.

Deadpool is the next installment in Fox's X-Men universe, and is set to come out in theaters on February 12, 2016.
