Jason Statham May Play Bullseye in Daredevil Season 2
Now that Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil has come flying out of the gates with amazing reviews and high viewership, they're much less wary of comparisons to the much-derided 2003 film. First, there were rumors that audition tapes for Elektra had surfaced and been quickly taken down, and now the latest rumors claim that Jason Statham is circling the Bullseye role.

Bullseye is a Marvel Comics villain who has been one of Daredevil's main archenemies. He doesn't possess any superpowers, but rather is an expert assassin with near-perfect marksmanship. Although Colin Farrell's portrayal of the character was incredibly cheesy, we can probably blame that on the movie being cheesy in general, as the nature of the character himself sounds like he could be perfect for Daredevil's grounded, gritty Hell's Kitchen if handled correctly.

The original report comes from Latino Review, and even they say that Statham is only being "pursued" at this point, so we should take these rumors with a grain of salt. But from the persistence of the rumors it seems that even if Marvel/Netflix can't land Statham, Bullseye is likely to appear next season, along with Elektra and possibly Mr. Fear and/or Mysterio.

Marvel/Netflix's Daredevil will return for season two in 2016, with production starting in a few weeks.
