The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead Casts Are Heading to San Diego Comic Con 2015
It's no surprise that The Walking Dead will once again take over Comic Con this year, but now there will be two huge Walking Dead panels to look forward to. The cast of The Walking Dead and its prequel/spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead, will both be at the biggest and best nerd convention of the year.

The Walking Dead panel will include showrunner Scott M. Gimple, as well as stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, and Sonequa Martin-Green. It seems that all of the returning regulars from season five are accounted for, although a few significant recurring actors who might be upgraded are missing, like Alexandra Breckenridge and Ross Marquand. Josh McDermitt is also missing from the list, which makes sense considering that he's currently filming the movie Middle Man, but will also do nothing to assuage the fears that his character will be killed off this season.

Meanwhile, all of the regular Fear the Walking Dead cast members will appear at the panel, including Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Lorenzo James Henrie, Ruben Blades, and Mercedes Mason, along with showrunner David Erickson.

In addition, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and shared executive producers Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, and Dave Alpert will all appear at both panels.

This is all exciting news for those of us attending SDCC, but the real question is whether AMC will take this opportunity to debut the first real footage of Fear the Walking Dead. We've seen some intriguing behind-the-scenes footage, but we haven't seen any clips from the actual show, unless you count these brief one-second glimpses in the AMC fall preview:

Considering that the entire cast is going to be there, it seems like a prime opportunity to release the first footage of the show. Anticipation is high already, but it would raise the hype considerably if AMC took advantage of the buzz surrounding Comic Con itself to air the first actual scenes.

Fear the Walking Dead is set to premiere in late summer 2015, while The Walking Dead will return for its sixth season in the fall.
