This Hi-Res Photo Of Jason Momoa's Aquaman Is Kind Of Mesmerizing
Batman's new suit, Wonder Woman's new outfit, and Jesse Eisenberg's shaved head. All of these new additions to Warner Bros. and DC's cinematic universe pale into insignificance when compared with the first look at Jason Momoa's Aquaman, and for good reason too. This is not your grandfather's Aquaman, not by a long shot. The traditional yellow bathing onesie has been replaced with bad-ass armor and tattoos, making this the most-fearsome Aquaman ever. Despite the overwhelmingly positive reaction to Momoa's new look Aquaman, we've actually not been able to get a truly good look at the image that turned the Dweller in the Depths into a viral sensation back in February. Previous images have been either too blurry or littered with text, but that's all about to change now, because a new hi-res version of the image was released by EW earlier this month, and it's absolutely glorious.

With the "Unite the Seven" text from the original image removed, we're now provided with a much better look at the outfit that will first hit our screens in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year. After that, it's expected that Momoa's Aquaman will play a major role in the first Justice League movie before going on to star in a solo Aquaman project, which is scheduled for release in July 2018.
The new look Aquaman is just one of many new additions to the DC Cinematic Universe, which between now and 2020 will see no fewer than 11 movies released in theaters. Featuring in those movies will be DC classics including Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller's The Flash, and a new Green Lantern who has yet to be cast.
