Batman v Superman: Jesse Eisenberg Confirms San Diego Comic Con Appearance
Last year at San Diego Comic Con, Zack Snyder blew everyone's minds by bringing Ben Affleck, Gal Godot, and Henry Cavill out on stage and revealing the first-ever footage of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But that was only ten seconds, and we've already had a teaser trailer, so the pressure is on to make this panel bigger and better than last year. And now, a recent interview by Collider has given us our first real indication that this will be a huge weekend for Batman v Superman, as Jesse Eisenberg has confirmed that he will be making an appearance:

"I'll be there," Eisenberg says in the above interview. "I think I'm there for the hour I'm on the stage."

This is the first confirmed major cast member from Batman v Superman, although the aforementioned main three actors are probably safe bets as well. And if other huge stars like Jason Momoa, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, and Jeremy Irons also appear, then this could be the most memorable event of the weekend.

Eisenberg also had high praise for Chris Terrio, the Oscar-winning screenwriter for Ben Affleck's Argo who handled the Batman v Superman rewrites:

"I like what this writer does, this guy Chris Terrio. He wrote this movie we did and I just think he's so great. He's such a good writer. I like what he does with characters, I like what he does with wordplay and cleverness. I like anything he writes."

This actually makes me more excited for the movie, as clever dialogue and an insightful script will be what elevates this above perfunctorily "gritty" superhero fare like Man of Steel. Warner Bros. knows that we're probably all going to see it regardless of whether it's actually good, but I really, really hope it will actually be good.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes out in theaters on March 25, 2016.
