Kevin Feige Reveals Ant-Man's Post-Credit Scene Features a Major Tie-in to the MCU
Last week, the first reactions to Ant-Man revealed that Marvel had filmed two huge post-credit scenes that some argued would be remembered more than the movie itself. Now, in a discussion with I09, Kevin Feige has revealed a key detail about how one of those post-credit scenes fits in with the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I was watching Civil War dailies and said, 'Whoa, that could be the tag.'" said Feige.

It turns out that Feige's epiphany was so powerful that he actually followed through on it, because it has now been confirmed that one of the Ant-Man post-credit scenes was actually shot by the Russo brothers on the set of Captain America: Civil War, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out what that means.

For a long time now, Marvel fans have pondered whether or not Paul Rudd's Ant-Man would have a major role to play in the big picture of the MCU. This revelation would not only appear to confirm that Scott Lang's involvement in the MCU will be significant, but that it will also commence in the very next Marvel film on the schedule.

Captain America: Civil War has been shooting in Atlanta for a number of weeks now, so a scene teasing the movie was naturally ripe for the picking for Marvel bosses. Civil War will likely be the biggest movie event in the MCU's history, and while Ant-Man has received a few mixed reactions during its early screeners, the prospect of getting an early look at the Russo Brothers' next movie will be more than enough to convince Marvel fans to take a trip to theaters come July 17th.

Personally, I remain optimistic that Ant-Man can be an entertaining film in its own right, and I'm glad the major Marvel tie-ins are being left until after the credits have rolled.
