Watch the Mind-Blowing Batman v Superman Trailer from SDCC
Warner Bros's panel in Hall H at SDCC this morning was amazing all around, with a full panoramic, wraparound view of amazing footage from Man from U.N.C.L.E, Pan, and Suicide Squad. But even with all of that, the most exciting part was this spine-tinglingly exciting new trailer for Batman v Superman:

In this trailer, Holly Hunter's US Senator is heard saying, "Today is a day for truth. The world needs to know what happened and to now what he stands for that kind of power is very dangerous." After Superman is tried in court, she says, "Let the record show that this committee holds him responsible."

She's presumably referring to the casualties at the end of Man of Steel, which may have included Batman's family. He declares jihad on Superman, with Alfred once again warning him against rage that "turns good men cruel."  He becomes a "one-man reign of terror," which Clark Kent is powerless to protest in his capacity as a reporter.

In the face of the criticism, Lois and Martha Kent try to convince Superman that he provides people with hope. His mother says, "Be their angel, be their hero, be their monument. Be everything they need you to be. Or be none of it. You don't owe this world a thing. You never did."

There are heavy religious overtones, between the protestors holding "God hates aliens" signs and Lex Luthor's evangelical "Devils don't come from beneath us. They come from the sky."

There are also several moments that will get any DC Comics fan excited, like the unveiling of the Bat signal and the glimpse of Wonder Woman in her suit. But the best shot by far is at the end, when Superman rips off the doors off of the Batmobile, and Batman rises up right in front of him.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes out on March 25, 2016, and we can hardly wait.
